Design and Features
The Checks: Fine grid or "Peshwai" check patterns woven uniformly across the body.
The Border: Contrasting solid-colored borders (maroon, bottle green, red) featuring traditional temple designs or horizontal stripes.
Fabric: Breathable 100% pure handloom cotton or rich silk-cotton blends.
Technique: Crafted using an interlocked-weft technique where contrasting borders are skillfully joined to the main body.
First Wash: Dry clean is recommended initially to set the handloom colors.
Regular Wash: Gentle hand wash in cold water using a mild soap; do not soak.
Starch: Use mild liquid starch periodically to maintain the crisp, traditional texture.
